The Formation of English Common Law of the XI–XV Century: Historical and Theoretical Aspect

This scientific article is devoted to the history of the formation of English common law. The author examines the historical features and evolution of the judicial system of England, the process of forming a system of common law norms and the development of legal practice. The periodization of the formation of English common law is presented, the positions of various scientists are given. The results of the study emphasize the importance of the initial stage of the formation of English common law for understanding modern legal systems, as well as in the context of the historical development of law in the world.
