Features of Urban Activism of Kazan Students

The article discusses issues related to such a social phenomenon of urban life as urban activism, which is an important tool for the positive transformation of the urban environment. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of urban activism among students. Studying the urban activism of student youth allows us to better understand the mechanisms of forming a civic position among the younger generation and the role of the younger generation in the development of the urban environment and the creation of local communities. The author examines the main theoretical positions of approaches to the study of urban activism by both Western and domestic researchers. The article presents the results of the author's empirical study of the features of urban activism of Kazan students: the attitude of students to the urban environment and participation in urban activism is revealed, the main practices and factors of student involvement in urban activism are established. The results obtained indicate a significant interest of the student youth in urban activism and its potential. The results of the study contribute to the methodology and methodology of studying the urban activism of students. The practical significance lies in the possibility of using the results obtained when planning activities for the formation of an active civic position and patriotic education of young people.
