Current Aspects of Using the Term «Design» in Sociology of Small Groups

The topic of this work is updated by the need to improve the theoretical toolkit of small group sociology in accordance with the needs of our time. Accordingly, the purpose of the article is to consider the dynamic aspect of the structure of small groups. Based on this, the tasks of this work are: a) to justify the use of the term "design" in the sociology of small groups; b) propose a "design approach" as a designation of the dynamic state of the structure of small groups. The scientific and applied significance of this work is that it provides a justification for the possibility of using the term "design" to refer to the dynamic state of the structure of a small group and this can be used for factor operationalization in the development of a program of empirical research on small groups. This work allows researchers to reasonably use the term "design" and design approach to refer to the dynamic state of the structure of small groups. The scientific novelty of this work is that it is a concrete contribution to the development of the terminological basis of small group sociology. Its value lies in the fact that, being theoretical, it also has an applied orientation - its provisions can be used in the development of empirical studies on the sociology of small groups.
