Organizational and Methodological Aspects of Assessing the Impact of Economic Potential on the Economic Security of the Region

The relevance of the problem is due to the understanding of the essence of the economic potential of the region and the need to study it as a key factor in stability, sustainability and economic security. Assessing the economic potential of the region is a prerequisite for developing a strategy and programs to improve economic security. The purpose of the article is to determine methodological approaches to assessing the economic potential and, on its basis, organizing monitoring of economic security. The objectives of the study are the selection and systematization of elements of resource provision of economic potential, tools and systems of indicators for analysis and organization of monitoring. The practical significance lies in the possibility of applying the proposed organizational monitoring scheme and its step-by-step algorithm in regional economic security systems.
