Attitude to Risk in the Business Environment (Based on Research Materials)

In modern society entrepreneurship acts as an innovative mechanism that promotes the development of the economic system as a whole, performing a number of important economic and social functions in society. Conducting entrepreneurial activity is associated with risks, in this regard, the study of the readiness of entrepreneurs to assess and accept risks has scientific and applied significance.

The purpose of the scientific article is to study the perception of risk by entrepreneurs. To achieve this goal, the concept of risk was analyzed, the attitude to risk in the business environment was studied, problems that reduce the willingness of entrepreneurs to take risks and develop entrepreneurial business were identified.

The scientific significance of the study lies in identifying the attitude to risk among Novosibirsk entrepreneurs, determining the gender characteristics of risk perception, developing a typology of entrepreneurs based on the criterion of risk readiness. The results of the study can be used in developing programs of state support for entrepreneurship and training programs for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Based on the analysis of scientific literature, statistical data and survey results, the article identifies gender characteristics of risk perception in the business environment, and identifies types of Novosibirsk entrepreneurs based on risk readiness using cluster analysis.
