Economic Security of the Regional Socio-Economic System and the Mechanism for Achieving its Preferred State

In modern realities, the problem of maintaining economic security is relevant for all States without exception and is directly related to their preservation of sovereignty and subjectivity. For Russia, this process is burdened with significant additional costs of the economic war declared by the collective West in 2022, and in order to effectively solve the problem of achieving an acceptable level of economic security, a nationwide three-tier system has been created in the country, of which the subjects of the Russian Federation are a key part. Within the limits of the powers granted by Russian legislation, the regional authorities, through the mechanism they have created, implement their own policy in this area, having a significant impact on the state of national economic security. The disclosure of the stated topic will reveal the role and importance of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the process of ensuring economic security and qualitatively improve the efficiency of public administration. Applying an evidence-based approach, the article classifies threats to the economic security of regional socio-economic systems, defines mechanisms and tools for solving problems to effectively counter them. Using factor analysis, the paper substantiates the need for an integrated approach to solving the problems of ensuring regional economic security, assuming that the subjects of the Russian Federation have their own strategies and concepts, as well as an appropriate regulatory framework.
