Peculiarities of Interaction Between Small and Large Industrial Businesses in the Context of Digitalisation

Abstract
The article provides a review of research on the issues of digital transformation of the industrial sector, including the area related to the digitalization of small and medium-sized industrial enterprises. The directions of influence of digital transformation on innovation processes in small and mediumsized enterprises of the industrial sector in the system of their interaction with large businesses and the state are considered. The features of the Industry 4.0 concept are identified and the main factors influencing the processes of innovative development of small and medium-sized industrial companies and the formation of strategies for their interaction with large businesses on issues of production and technological cooperation in the context of digitalization are systematized. Among these factors, “servitization” is considered, implying a transition to a service economy; technologies that are currently being most actively introduced into industrial production; and new institutional mechanisms to support the technological and innovative development of small and medium-sized businesses. An assessment was made of the level of implementation of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies in the industrial sector of Russia. And directions for improving state policy to support innovative and technological entrepreneurship in the context of promoting the formation of cooperative ties in industry between large and small enterprises are proposed.
