State Strategic Planning Tools: Current State and Prospects for Improvement

By 2024, the socio-economic and political situation in the world is undergoing global changes and is undergoing a stage of reconstruction. The Russian Federation is the main irritant for Western countries, which leads to an increase in sanctions pressure on the country.
In this regard, the Russian Federation public administration system, including strategic, requires qualitative changes to increase the system effectiveness of responding to increasing risks in the field of maintaining the stability of political, economic, social, cultural and other spheres of society.
The purpose of this work is to study the current state of state strategic planning tools and the prospects for their improvement. The scientific significance of the article lies in determining possible directions for improving the strategic planning system. The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that the results of the study can be used in the development of updated state strategic planning documents, including in the Russian Federation national projects development for the period up to 2030.
Based on the analysis, problems were identified and directions were proposed for improving the tools of state strategic planning in the Russian Federation in terms of their methodology, which consist in the need to adjust the content of strategic state planning documents, the formation of additional methods of their state financial control and efficiency assessment.
