Implementation of the Decisions of the XVI BRICS Summit (Kazan) as a Mechanism for Effectively Countering External Threats to Russia's Economic Security

The aim of the work is to identify and analyze current external threats to the economic security of the Russian Federation and to develop recommendations on using the potential of the BRICS to effectively counter them. Using a retrospective analysis, the author reveals the fundamental principles of the creation of BRICS and explains the motives of the founding countries, defining the organization's place in the global socio-economic system. Applying an evidence-based approach and functional analysis, the paper describes the current state of the potential of the international economic association and defines the forms and methods of its implementation in order to ensure the development of the Russian economy, increase its stability and level of security. Based on normative analysis and methods of scientific abstraction, the article shows the mechanisms and forms of cooperation among BRICS members to collectively counteract current external challenges and threats. Using factorial and dynamic analysis, the researcher proves the positive impact of this process on achieving the national development goals of all participating countries. The most complete disclosure of the withered topic will reduce the negative impact of external threats to the economic security of the Russian Federation, increase the stability and reliability of its socio-economic system.
