Weber's Concept of Protestant Ethics as a Factor of Formal Rationalization of Economic and Business Entrepreneurship in the Focus of the Opinions of Business Theorists and Practitioners

Abstract

The article analyzes the data of a semi-structured interview with experts in the field of entrepreneurship studies, as well as current entrepreneurs representing the scientific and business communities of the Republics of Tatarstan and Mari El. It is concluded that Max Weber's concept of the decisive role of formally rational Protestant ethics in the system of factors and conditions of formal rationalization of entrepreneurship is insufficiently understood.
