Telegram Channels of Russian Party Leaders as a Platform for Political Communication

Abstract

The article presents the empirical study results of electronic political communication features of the major parties leaders in the Russian Federation in the Telegram. It is analyzed how the information, manipulative and expressive functions of political communication are manifested in the text of the posts, and the connection between the vocabulary and themes of the political course in the party program and in the messages of the party leaders on the official page in Telegram is demonstrated.
