Conditions for the Development of Ecological Tourism in Russia at the Present Stage

The article provides an overview of scientific papers devoted to the study of issues in the field of ecotourism. Based on statistical data, information about specially protected natural areas (protected areas) is presented To preserve the biological diversity of the country and the development of the ecotourism industry. As a result of the analysis, the popular and popular ecological routes by categories of protected areas have been identified. It is indicated that the total number of visitors to ecological trails and routes has increased significantly in recent years by categories of protected areas of federal significance. There is a close relationship between the number of ecological routes and the number of their visits.

The paper identifies and outlines the conditions for the successful development of eco-tourism. The author argues that the development of the ecological culture of the population, the infrastructure of the regions, and the identification of the potential of destinations are necessary conditions not only for the development of eco-tourism, but also for the protection of the environment.

As a result of the conducted research, the problems that have arisen in the field of ecotourism development in the regions have been identified, and recommendations related to the development of ecotourism at the present stage have been developed and substantiated for their successful solution.
