Socio-Economic Effects of Digital Transformation of Economic Systems

The widespread development and active involvement of digital technologies in various socio-economic processes of the domestic economy causes a lot of discussions in the scientific community about the benefits and possible threats. In addition, the results of digitalization are very ambiguous in comparison with the general indicators of economic development. Digital transformation has a significant impact on social processes, causing a set of qualitative changes that can be considered both opportunities and threats to society. In this regard, the study of the socio-economic consequences of transformational processes is becoming particularly relevant and of scientific and practical importance, since an understanding of various aspects of digitalization is necessary in the process of developing effective public policy.
The purpose of the study is to identify the key consequences of the implementation of the digital transformation of the Russian economic system, primarily from the perspective of identifying the positive results of digitalization. The paper systematizes the main social and economic effects, provides statistical data confirming the conclusions reached, and compares them, based on which it is possible to state the expediency of further development of digital technologies in the domestic economy.
