Features of the Qualification of Non-Payment of Funds for the Maintenance of Children or Disabled Parents

In this paper, the authors paid attention to the problematic issues of bringing persons to criminal responsibility for non-payment of funds for the maintenance of children or disabled parents. The purpose of the article is to develop proposals for improving existing criminal law norms. The tasks are: identification of problems arising in the qualification of this act; a comprehensive analysis of current legislation; consideration of issues related to the peculiarities of administrative prejudice. The scientific and practical significance is due to the fact that the authors have identified gaps in the current legislation in the field of non-payment of funds for the maintenance of children or disabled parents. The main results were proposals for amendments and additions to the current criminal legislation of the Russian Federation. The value of the conducted research lies in the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of countering non-payment of alimony obligations.
