Representation of Metamodernism Values at the Metaverse Project: Analysis of Socio-Psychological Barriers

The Metaverse technological system is considered as a social phenomenon, the growth of popularity of which occurred during the maturation of the zoomer generation. Based on a heterodox approach to the mutual influence of social behavior and the development of technological systems, a hypothesis is put forward about additional, non-technological barriers to the implementation of the Metaverse project. These barriers are of a socio-psychological nature and are reflected in its social image, which includes values. A narrative analysis of program documents devoted to the metaverse has been carried out to represent the key values of metamodernism as the most stable concept of global socio-cultural change. Among the transmitted and missing values, problematic ones have been identified, which have the greatest crisis potential in the implementation of the Metaverse project.
