Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A – from English "Mergers and Acquisitions" – the processes of mergers and acquisitions, which are the main formats of corporate transactions) are generally understood to be complex and multifaceted processes that require effective management of all aspects of financial activities, including accounts receivable. The key goal of such associations is to achieve a synergistic effect and increase market share.

In modern conditions of globalization and the growing number of M&A accounts receivable management is a key area of financial management. Incorrect estimates and the actual management of accounts receivable lead to huge financial losses, as well as significant risks for the combined companies. This makes this work relevant from the point of view of effective management of accounts receivable within the framework of M&A to minimize the appearance of risks, as well as financial losses.

The article presents the results of an analysis of various types of mergers and acquisitions (horizontal, vertical, conglomerate) and their impact on the accounts receivable management strategy. The study is based on an analysis of scientific literature, regulatory legal acts, as well as an M&A case study with an emphasis on accounts receivable management.

This article also contains specific objectives for analyzing the methods of managing accounts receivable in the M&A process, as well as substantiating recommendations for managing accounts receivable in M&A, adapted to various types of mergers and acquisitions.

The scientific significance of the work lies in the systematization of knowledge about the impact of accounts receivable on financial results after M&A. Within the framework of practical significance, recommendations have been developed that contribute to the growth of liquidity and financial stability of companies in the integration process.

As a result of the conducted research, reasonable conclusions were drawn that effective management of accounts receivable is possible only with the application of an integrated approach, which focuses on credit risk assessment and integration of accounting and monitoring systems.

The value of the work carried out is due to the proposal of new methodological approaches to the management of accounts receivable in the framework of M&A, which is a platform for further study of this topic.
