Etnocultural Educational Practices as a Mechanism for Preserving Ethnic Diversity in the Udmurt Republic

The purpose of this article is to analyze existing educational practices to preserve and expand the ethnocultural component in the education system of the Udmurt Republic. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the analysis of the ethnocultural component in a multi-ethnic republic is important not only for preventing conflicts on national grounds, but also in connection with the ongoing processes of assimilation, the transition of speakers of minority languages to the language of the majority, and the erosion of the ethnic characteristics of the peoples of Udmurtia. For systematic work in the field of ethnocultural and ethnolinguistic awareness and education, it is necessary to use not only the capabilities of schools, but also modern information and communication technologies; include elements of design and research activities in popular leisure forms of work with children and youth; work on a set of activities for ethnocultural and ethnolinguistic awareness and education on the Internet. The analysis of the "ethnic Internet" allows us to conclude that the arsenal of tools of ethnocultural education contained in the virtual space in the near future will become one of the highly effective complexes for the preservation and development of ethnic and territorial identification of representatives of regional society. The significance of the article for science lies in the fact that the authors present and describe in detail the range of ethnocultural educational practices and consider the specifics of their existence and implementation in the Udmurt Republic. The significance and value of the study for everyday practice lies in the fact that the article analyzes the system of ethnocultural educational practices of the educational, methodological and search and research plan; artistic, creative and leisure-entertainment nature, aimed at forming the ethnic and regional identity of the inhabitants of Udmurtia and contributing to the practical transfer of ethnocultural and ethnolingual knowledge and continuity of mechanisms for preserving ethnic diversity in the Udmurt Republic.
